The Annual Ferndale Blues Festival was held again this year in January and February 2009 throughout 18 venues in Ferndale. More than 60 individual concerts and events were held over nine days, with more than four dozen volunteers who helped to collect donations, staff events, and distribute promotional materials. More than $15,000 was raised for local charities, including $6,000 for Ferndale Youth Assistance. All of the proceeds we received from this event will benefit youth and families in the Ferndale School District.

Plans are already in the works for the 2010 Ferndale Blues Festival. This year, the event will occur from January 29, 2010 through February 6, 2010. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Monica Mills at mmills@aidsprevention.org or by phone at (248) 545-1435, ext. 117.
